Dozens of nominations came in, and we honored four of the most outstanding volunteer projects for their contributions to improving Connecticut’s water, air, soils and wildlife habitat. |

Food Drive’s Success Shows People are Hungry to Help

Some 7,500 families in our area enjoyed traditional Thanksgiving dinners due to the outstanding response to the House of Hope Food Drive organized by Aquarion Water Company and St. Vincent’s Medical Center.
By November 21 nearly five tons of food was delivered to local food banks. Some of it was donated through House of Hope collection boxes, while the remainder was purchased with monetary donations received during the campaign.
