Howard J. Dunn

Vice President, Operations – Aquarion Company

Howard J. Dunn was appointed Vice President, Operations effective November 30, 2000. Mr. Dunn is responsible for directing all aspects of the Connecticut operations including, source of supply, treatment, distribution, service and meter reading. Additionally, he has responsibility for water quality and environmental management.

Mr. Dunn joined the Company in 1995 as Director of Supply Operations and has progressed through several positions, culminating in his current position with Aquarion Water Company – the largest investor-owned water utility in New England and among the ten largest in the United States.

Before joining Aquarion, Mr. Dunn was Manager of Treatment for the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority, headquartered in New Haven, CT. Prior to that, he was employed by Malcolm Pirnie, Inc., a civil/environmental engineering consulting firm headquartered in White Plains, NY. Mr. Dunn holds a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University and a MS in Environmental Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Dunn is a licensed Professional Engineer and is a member of the American Water Works Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is the past chairperson of the AWWA Coagulation and Filtration Committee.
