Donald J. Morrissey was promoted from Vice President, Chief Financial Officer to Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Aquarion Company in March 2012.  Mr. Morrissey is responsible for directing all aspects of financial management, strategic and financial planning, rates and regulation and risk management for the company.  As president of Aquarion’s non-regulated subsidiary, Homeowner Safety Valve Company, he oversees the marketing and administration of warranty services to regulated and municipal clients.  
 
Mr. Morrissey joined the company in 1995 and progressed through numerous financial positions of increasing responsibility, including Controller.  Before joining Aquarion, Mr. Morrissey was Manager of Financial Reporting at Reader’s Digest after spending five years at Arthur Andersen. A graduate of New York University’s Stern School of Business, Mr. Morrissey holds a Masters in Business Administration in Finance and International Business, and is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Morrissey is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.
 
Mr. Morrissey serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Water Companies. He is also a member of the National Association of Water Companies’ Finance, Accounting and Tax Committee, and served as its Chairman from 2003 to 2008.
