Charles ("Chuck") V. Firlotte was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Aquarion Company in September of 2003. Aquarion Company's principal business is public water supply and through its Aquarion Water Company subsidiaries, it is one of the 10 largest investor-owned water utilities in the U.S. serving the northeastern States of Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Aquarion is a subsidiary of Eversource.

Firlotte joined Aquarion Water Company's predecessor, Bridgeport Hydraulic Company (BHC) in 1987, as Director of Human Resources, and was elected an Officer of the Company within a one year period. He served in a number of assignments, and was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 1995. From 2000 to late 2003 , Chuck resided in the UK and served as Director of Yorkshire Water, Aquarion's former parent, providing water service to some 5 million inhabitants of the north of England.

Chuck has lived in three countries, on two continents, and began his career in his native Canada. With a background in human resources management, Firlotte developed a reputation as an agent of change and turnaround specialist, with a focus on enhancement to operating efficiencies and service delivery. Some of the awards and acknowledgments that Aquarion has earned under his leadership include the Connecticut Improvement Quality Award, the state equivalent of the prestigious national Baldrige Award, and the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Award for reduction of carbon footprint. For five consecutive years, Aquarion surpassed all other Utilities in the state in customer service, as measured by the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority, and most recently Hearst Newspapers identified Aquarion in the Top 10 Places to work in the state.

Chuck presently serves on the Board of NB Power, an electric utility in Eastern Canada, and has also served in a leadership capacity on a number of boards of not-for-profit organizations, including the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA), St. Vincent’s Medical Center and the Bridgeport Regional Business Council.  He presently serves as Vice Chairman of Sacred Heart University Board of Trustees.

Chuck holds an undergraduate degree from St. Thomas University in New Brunswick, Canada, a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa, and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
