AQUARION Water Company introduces its 2007 pilot Customer Assistance Program

About the Program

Effective May 1, 2007, Aquarion Water Company of Connecticut is pleased to announce that it has allocated a sum of $50,000 to its Customer Assistance Program as a pilot offering to assist customers with the payment of their water bills. A one-time voucher in the amount of $50 will be granted to 1,000 customers who are either homeowners in Aquarion's service territory or contractual renters (water bill must be in owner's or renter's name) who pay a quarterly water bill. Once the $50,000 has been allocated, the program will conclude for 2007.

Application Process

To apply for assistance, customers may complete an application form and attach proof of eligibility. Customers qualify for assistance if they currently receive assistance from one or more of the following sources:

  • Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)
  • Social Security Insurance (SSI)
  • Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)
  • Helms Housing recipient paying the minimum

    Note that social security retirement benefits alone do not qualify you for the pilot program. Also, in order to ensure delivery of your application, please carefully fold brochure so return address faces out; include proof of eligibility, and close all three sides with tape. Do not staple.
