Classroom Presentations and Speakers

Aquarion Water Company of Connecticut employees for several years have joined Housatonic Valley Association in educating consumers about the protection and preservation of our environment and the betterment of the Housatonic River.

Education and Outreach Photographs


Aquarion Water Company sponsors the Perfect Attendance Celebration at Barnum School in Bridgeport. Students who have perfect attendance for the quarter marking period receive a certificate and a tee-shirt. Here, students proudly wear the tee-shirts that they received.


Aquarion Water Company employees present students of Barnum School with certificates for perfect attendance. Students are proud of their achievement and strive to earn another certificate for the next quarter’s marking period.


Aquarion employee volunteers serve up a yummy lunch for children from Barnum School. Each of the children attending had made substantial improvements in school during the year and were rewarded for their hard work with a picnic and games.

Students are learning what a watershed is and who lives in one. Using newspaper, spray bottle and plastic bags, students build a model Watershed and then see how our environment changes it. WHAT FUN!


Aquarion Water Company, Regional Water Authority and the Connecticut section - American Water Works Association together developed a hands-on/minds-on interactive display for the Connecticut Public Television's Family Science Exposition. Children tried carrying filled water buckets simulating the many people around the world that must collect and carry their water each day.
